Probation

An undergraduate student is subject to academic probation if at any time the cumulative grade point average in all college work attempted or cumulative grade point average at SJSU falls below 2.0.  The student shall be advised of probation status promptly.  An undergraduate student shall be removed from academic probation when the cumulative grade point average in all college work attempted and the cumulative grade point average at SJSU is 2.00 or higher.

For Students Who Are on Probation After Summer 2009

This message was sent to Undergraduate Students on 8/25/09:

Because of your GPA after Summer 2009, you have been placed on academic probation.

Please read the attached letter carefully for explanations and support in improving your gpa.

For Students Who Are on Probation After Spring 2009

This message was sent to Undergraduate Students on 6/9/09:

Because your SJSU cumulative gpa is less than 2.0, you have been placed on academic probation.
