Academic Planner- Four Semester

Use this blank planner to schedule your courses for the next four semesters. Student can drop by the ACCESS Center for planning assistance.

Students can see their Four Year Degree Plans from their departments.

My Progress Report

Here are instructions on how students can access their My Progress Report through their student page. Students can track their major, GE, and unit requirements.

My Scheduler/Spartan Planner
Here are instructions on how students can access their My Scheduler through their student page. Students can create a personalized schedule that accounts for employment and other personal responsibilities.

The Career Center promotes the development of SJSU students as professionals by providing the tools to guide you in making career-planning decisions along with developing and marketing your skills to employers.


Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
CAPS provides quality services to students so they can achieve their goals of becoming successful graduates of San José State University, both academically and socially. To fulfill this objective, we look at the whole student and provide guidance and tools to become productive and well rounded. Professionally trained psychologists, social workers, and counselors are available for students on an individual, couple, or group basis for counseling on a variety of psychological and academic issues.

Food Assistance

Food Resources
SJSU students in need of immediate food assistance have access to a number of small, self-serve "shelves" around the main campus.  At these informal pantries there is no registration process.

These are the most used forms by students

Late Drop Petition- Used to drop courses.
Leave of Absence Petition- Used to take a leave for up to four semesters and maintain status.
Excess Units Petition- Used to enroll in additional units.
Graduation Application- Used to begin the graduation process.
Withdraw Form- Used to drop all courses.

General Education (GE)

These tools can assist with GE planning and completion.

Articulation Agreement
Students can enroll in California Community Colleges courses to cover SJSU Requirements. This agreement shows equivalent courses and GE Couses.
ASSIST is an online student-transfer information system that shows how course credits earned at one public California college or university can be applied when transferred to another.

Undeclared Advising

Academic Advising & Retention ServicesAcademic Advising & Retention Services provides advising for General Education, Undeclared Students, students requiring remediation, International Students and those on probation or disqualified. 

Go and visit an ACCESS or Faculty Advisor for more information on declaring any COSS Major.
