Accessibility News
- May 2, 2008: The University Help Desk Web site became accessible to all SJSU students. Kudos to Steve Sloan, Help Desk & ITSS Specialist, for supporting two of our University shared values:
- Student Success: Placing our highest priority on academic success and personal growth.
- Diversity: Respecting diversity and valuing the strength it brings to our community.
- May 1, 2008: Website Content Management System (WebCMS) version 7 is now available for the entire campus. WebCMS 7 allows for greater content flexibility with 14 new templates, and complements your workflow with scalable user permissions and background publishing. But most importantly, it is now fully compliant with Section 508 accessibility requirements.
- February 27, 2008: San José State University selected to receive the ATI Best Practices in 508 Procurement Award.
- Nov 1, 2007: The Web Services Unit is pleased to announce the release of university Web templates (version 3.0) with improved consistency in user experience and navigation. The new templates are Section 508 compliant.
- August 13, 2007: Updated SJSU Web Accessibility Training Manual (PDF) available for download
- April 3, 2007: The SJSU Web Accessibility Training Manual (PDF) is available for download. This guide explains how to install recommended auditing tools, conduct manual accessibility checks and run the automated accessibility report using AccVerify and the Interview Wizard.
- March 15, 2007: Presidential Directive 2007-02 (PDF) – Access to Electronic and Information Technology Policy for Persons with Disabilities.
- February 22, 2007: The Web Mailing List is open for anyone maintaining web pages, web site(s) or providing content for any domains inside SJSU.EDU.
