SJSUOne Login Page Changing

If you've ever logged into Canvas, checked your campus email, or used any of the many campus web apps, then you're probably already very familiar with the SJSUOne login page. As of August 12, that page will look completely different.

The new design is streamlined and mobile-friendly, making it a lot easier for people using phones and tablets to enter their SJSUOne ID and password to access campus apps and services.

Student Success – Upcoming Changes

Last year SJSU kicked off a multi-year university wide Student Success Initiative with the mission of improving SJSU’s student graduation and retention rates over the next 2-4 years. The Student Success initiative will be realized through implementing business process changes as well as development and implementation of customized application functions and tools including an Admissions Supplemental Criteria and Impaction Processing Application (IPSA) process.

In early 2015, SJSU announced changes to Admission criteria for transfer students, effective with the fall 2016 entering class. Transfer students will be evaluated for specific programs based on their academic preparation. Students are entering SJSU without fully completing the preparatory coursework, and subsequently taking longer to complete their degrees. Transfer students are enrolling in preparatory courses, limiting availability of these courses for freshman students. The admissions criteria changes will allow more students to make timely progress to graduation.

This fall, SJSU will release the initial version of the new IPSA application that automates processing of minimum CSU eligibility, facilitates the collection of supplemental course information in support of the proposed impaction plan changes for fall 2016, and automates the impaction and admissions processing. Application development, integration and testing activities are well underway and progress is being made towards delivering a secure, stable IPSA application for admissions processing of SJSU’s fall 2016 transfer applicants.
