CSU Tax Sheltered Annuity (TSA) Program Changes Effective April 1, 2016

The California State University is making important changes to the Tax Sheltered Annuity (TSA) Program which will be effective April 1st. The most significant change is the consolidation from five vendors (i.e. TIAA-CREF, VALIC, MetLife, ING/VOYA, and Fidelity) to one sole vendor, Fidelity Investments. The CSU is working directly with Fidelity Investments and the State Controller’s Office to ensure a smooth transition for participants. Employees will receive additional communications directly from the CSU and Fidelity Investments regarding the transition, plan options, timelines and where to find more information.

Health Trails Wellness Challenge

Get ready to go on an adventure! Well U, the SJSU employee wellness program, and Kaiser Permanente are teaming up again to bring staff and faculty the Health Trails Wellness Challenge. Track your Health Trails activities to move along the trail. As you progress you’ll enjoy great images and vivid descriptions of each location as if you’re right there. It’s a fun, effective way to track health habits because you actually see your progress.

Participants of all fitness levels are encouraged to participate in this 6 week challenge. Form teams of 4 to 5 and compete against other teams. Joining a team isn’t required but the team aspect is a great way to keep each other motivated and accountable. Kaiser Permanente is providing great prizes for both teams and individuals.

The challenge begins on April 4th and you can sign up through April 11th. Register and form your teams on the Health Trails website. So lace up your sneakers and get ready to get fit and have fun as you work your way through Heath Trails! For more information contact Julie Inouye Wong, at 408-924-2256.
