TARS Audit

The sustainability tracking, assessment and rating system (STARS) is a transparent, self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance. San Jose State University received a silver rating in 2011 and we are reapplying this coming summer hoping for gold! The STARS team recently held a STARS kick-off event for the key stakeholders on campus that will be contributing to the STARS report. A local and sustainable lunch was provided while Provost Andy Feinstein and Interim Vice President Administration & Finance/CFO, Josee Larochelle, spoke about the importance of sustainability at SJSU.  A Sustainability presentation was featured to showcase the sustainability efforts currently being made by all campus departments. The report is set to be completed by June.
