Staff Olympics Closing Ceremony Barbecue

The 2012 SJSU Staff Olympics concludes with the Closing Ceremony Barbecue on Thursday, August 16, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on the Science Building lawn (grassy area between the Science Building and King Library). All faculty, staff and student assistants are invited to attend regardless of whether or not you participated in the games.  Medals will be presented to the winners. Register online at the Staff Olympics eMarket or at the Bursar’s Office.  $15 covers lunch and a t-shirt (limited sizes available). Come celebrate the Staff Olympics and all of our athletes!

Benefits Update

2012 Open Enrollment Period:  September 10 – October 5, 2012

The annual Benefits Open Enrollment for SJSU employees is being held September 10 through October 5, 2012.  All changes made during open enrollment will be effective January 1, 2013.

Open Enrollment is your opportunity to make changes to your benefit plans.  During this period, you may enroll in or change a health or dental plan, add or delete dependents, enroll or cancel FlexCash and enroll in a Flexible Spending Account (HCRA/DCRA).
NOTE:  If you are currently participating in either of the flexible spending account plans (HCRA/DCRA) and wish to continue for tax year 2013, you will need to re-enroll during open enrollment.

Benefits eligible employees use PeopleSoft’s self service online enrollment system called eBenefits to make benefit plan elections and changes.  eBenefits is available via MySJSU, and is generally available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with the exception of scheduled maintenance windows.

To get started, log in to MySJSU  and navigate to Self Service. Open the Benefits area and click the Benefits Enrollment hyperlink to enroll or make changes to your plan(s) for the 2013 plan year.
