parking services readies for fall semester
Saturday and Sunday, August 18 and 19, 2012 are the “Move-In” days set for students to move back into University Housing for the Fall Semester. Please be patient as new students find their way to their new homes for the Fall Semester.
Wednesday, August 22, 2012 is the First Day of Classes for the Fall Semester. The first two weeks of the semester are the most congested as new students find their way to their classes. Many new faculty and staff must navigate their way to classes and offices as well.
As you make your way to campus and through the Parking Garages, please allow yourself extra time to get to your destination. For your convenience there are a large number of parking spaces set aside year round on the South side of the roof of the South (Seventh Street) Garage for Faculty and Staff parking. Your “E” permit is also good to park in all General Parking Areas.
In order to park in the Disabled section of Parking on campus, you must have your “E” permit as well as your Disabled placard, or a special permit from the Disability Resource Center.
If you have not yet updated your Parking Permit (for permits that expired June 30, 2012) you may take care of this in the Parking Office (Lobby Service Area) of the University Police Department Building, corner of South Seventh and East San Salvador Streets, 408 924-6556.
Parking Services sells a variety of Employee parking permits to accommodate your work schedule. For information about the different types of permits that are offered, please visit Parking Services.
An Employee Payroll Deduction allows you to purchase an Annual or Multiyear permit and have the monthly fee deducted from your paycheck on a pre-tax basis.
