Landscape Master Plan

Landscape Master Plan

After nearly eight months of planning and review, FD&O has finalized the Landscape Master Plan (LMP) for the campus. We sought input via a campus wide forum, presentations to the Campus Planning Board as well as the President's Cabinet. The LMP is intended to provide a roadmap to guide the grounds department in its efforts to move the campus to an even more beautiful and sustainable landscape for the campus community to enjoy. For details, check out the Landscape Master Plan (PDF).

Adam Bayer Named Director of Planning Design and Construction

Following the retirement of our Director of Planning Design and Construction, Adam Bayer has been appointed to the position. Previously Adam was the Director of Maintenance and Operations and his skills and expertise will be of tremendous value with regard to leading the department.

Key and Card Issuance Procedural Changes

In an effort to improve the process for fulfilling campus key requests, FD&O has made some changes to our processes that we hope will make things a bit more convenient.

The Key Request Card and Card Access Request Form have been consolidated into a single Key & Card Access Request Form. The new form will be available online by the first week of July and will become the sole means for requests on August 1, 2013.

Authorization for the issuance of keys and cards must be done by the MPP to whom the requester reports. Once the completed form is received by FD&O, and the key/card is created, the requester will receive an email indicating their request is ready for pickup. The requester must personally pick up and sign for the key/card.

Also, to ensure the safety and security of our campus, please be reminded that locksmiths, custodians or other FD&O personnel are not authorized to unlock private offices or other facilities. Campus employees must either have their key, or gain access from a member of their department with access. In an emergency, you may contact UPD and identification will be required.
