Facilities Development and Operations
Chris Brown—Associate Vice President
Facilities Development and Operations (FD&O) promotes and enhances the learning process by providing a physical environment that is safe, comfortable, and attractive through our stewardship of physical asset management which includes operations, maintenance, modifications, alterations, and changes to existing facilities and new facility construction.
Finance
Josee Larochelle—Associate Vice President
The Finance Service Group provides financial services to the campus community. Comprised of The Bursar's Office, Accounting Services, Accounts Payable, Contracts and Purchasing Services, Distribution Services, University Risk and Compliance, and the University Budget Office, the Finance service group supports the teaching and public service mission of the university by providing exceptional customer service; accurate, timely and responsive business services; sound financial management; and innovative business solutions.
Human Resources
Beth Pugliese—Associate Vice President
Human Resources (HR) is comprised of Employee Support Services, Workforce Planning, Office for Equal Opportunity, Organizational Development and Training, Employee Relations, HR and Technical Services. Human Resources partners with the campus community to develop a high performing organization.
Information Technology Services
Terry Vahey—Associate Vice President/Deputy CIO
Information Technology Services (ITS) serves the campus community by providing collaboration services such as email, scheduling, and Web conferencing services, user support services including help desk and training services, desktop support, information security support, infrastructure services such as network and telecommunications, server management, administrative application management and development, and Web site hosting and management.
Spartan Shops, Inc.
Lisa Thomas—Interim Executive Director
Spartan Shops is a self-supporting campus auxiliary organization. Spartan Shops operates the Spartan Bookstore and Spartan Dining which includes all campus eateries as well as catering service.
University Police
Peter Decena—Chief of Police
The University Police Department (UPD) provides uniformed police patrol of the University and surrounding neighborhoods, criminal and administrative investigations, community policing and crime prevention services. Officers will respond to your location to investigate criminal activity or unusual incidents. The Department is organized into five service units: Office of the Chief, Field Services, Administrative Services, Support Services and Special Operations. Serving with pride and integrity, members of the San José State University Police Department are dedicated to providing the highest level of professional law enforcement and public safety to our community.
