Information Technology Services
ITS provides a range of services to the campus community through the following departments:
Provides a variety of technology support services to the campus. These services include: help desk, training, documentation, systems analysis and programming, consulting, desktop/server/enterprise systems support, centralized batch job scheduling, imaging/workflow project coordination,website maintenance, security administration, and database administration.
Departments within Administrative Systems include: Administrative Applications, Adminsitrative Programming, Desktop & DBA Support, Web Services
Provides all voice/data trunks and services, campus telephone system design and operations support, alarm installation and service including panic and intrusion alarms, and the MAC process (move, adds, and changes) in addition to other services.
Guides key ITS projects to a successful conclusion and creates a foundation for consistent project success throughout the SJSU campus.
Provides campus-wide, server based solutions to San José State University faculty, staff, and students, and serves as 2nd level support to the campus help desks.
Provides implementation, support, maintenance and consulting services for LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Data Security at San José University. This includes, but is not limited to the reliable delivery of data, access to the Internet, bandwidth and security management.
Provides enterprise-wide solutions and consultation geared towards the revitalization of SJSU's online presence. Web Services also plays a prominent role in developing, contributing to and enforcing web accessibility and standards on behalf of the ATI task force.
