I have been admitted to San José State University as a Freshman, but have not yet attended classes.
I am a first time freshman in my first semester who has never seen an Academic Advisor in an appointment at SJSU before.
I am a first time freshman in my second semester who has never seen an Academic Advisor in an appointment at SJSU before.
I am a transfer student who has never seen an Academic Advisor in an appointment at SJSU before.
I am a freshman or sophomore who has seen an Academic Advisor previously at SJSU.
I am a transfer student or upper division student who has seen an Academic Advisor previously at SJSU.
I am a graduate student.
Admitted Students
- If you have not yet registered for your mandatory orientation, find more information about orientation by visiting the Orientation website.
- You will meet with general education advisors and advisors from your major department and/or college at this orientation.
- Write down and bring a list of questions that you would like to ask your advisor.

- Come to the Academic Advising & Retention Services in the Students Services Center (SSC) for an advising session regarding General Education.
