What We Do

The San José State University Accessible Education Center (AEC), Division of Student Affairs, is a comprehensive center providing both students and employees with accommodations and services. The Center works closely with faculty, staff, programs and departments to deliver services and promote access for students with disabilities in the classroom and throughout the campus.


  • In addition to AEC Drop-In Hours, AEC will be providing returning AEC students requesting no change in their accommodations with an alternative online submission process. 

NOTE: Read the directions carefully. Students must sign in using their SJSU ID# and password in order to access this form. Students will also need to have their syllabus ready to upload at the end of the form before submitting.

  • AEC continues to take steps to ensure that all communication sent to students is held secured and confidential – therefore all email communication sent to students from the AEC will be sent to students' SJSU-issued email address. To assist students in this transition, AEC has created a tutorial on how to forward messages from student SJSU-issued email accounts to a preferred email account (e.g. gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc.).
  • AEC will not be providing academic advising during the Spring 2017 semester.  As an alternative to academic advisement through the AEC, students can seek advisement from Campus Advising Centers.
