Choosing your Major

Choosing a major in college is an important decision, and should not be taken lightly. This decision can be stressful. AEC recommends students take advantage of the vast resources available at SJSU in your major selection.

  • San José State University - Career Center is a great place to go to explore your interest and narrow down a major or career path.

  • ONET Skills Search allows you to explore your interests and strengths to find possible career paths.

  • EDCO 4 - Personal, Academic, and Career Exploration. This 3 unit course will help students with identifying academic and/or career pathways that will be followed to achieve personally defined life goals. It also meets the General Education Area E requirement.
