student 1

Upon graduation, I plan on moving to Atlanta to pursue my MBA in Accounting and open my own accounting firm.  In my spare time I enjoy working out, playing basketball and spending time with friends and family. I would consider myself an introvert but that can be easily changed when I get around a group of people with whom I feel comfortable communicating.

La Porche  Tenne,  Freshman AFAM Major, Graduating in 2016.
student 2

I have recently been offered a Residential Advisor job for Royce Hall, and I am planning on getting involved. I love it here at SJSU and I can’t wait to earn my BA in African-American Studies. I am the first person in my family to attend a four-year University and I cannot wait to start a legacy of my own. I am very interested in learning about the social status and relationships of African American Women.

My goals are to become a well-rounded individual, knowledgeable, diverse, assisting and inspiring. I hope to become a model for our people and show them they can truly be anything they desire to be. I want to be a teacher, professor, author and pastor/priest.
