Emmanuel J. Watkins

Emmanuel J. Watkins holds a B.A. in African and African American Studies from Berea College and a M.A. in Education (emphasis in Student Services) from the University of the Incarnate Word. He is also doctoral student in the Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching program at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has served in higher education for over 8 years and has of experiences in admissions/recruitment, advising, mentoring, program development, and teaching. He also served as a Teaching Assistant for the University of the Incarnate Word and helped guide, lecture, and mentor graduate students. Mr. Watkins research interests are Black men in higher education, specifically mentoring Black male college students, and critical race theology.
