Why are you proud to be a Spartan? San Jose State University developed me into the person that I am today. Between classes, professors, fellow classmates and extra-curricular activities, I was able to envision my full potential during and after attending SJSU. I have made life long friends that have become my family.

Favorite SJSU memory: Three friends and I drove to attend the New Mexico Bowl. It was worth the 16+ hour drive to see SJSU win a bowl game!

What activities/organizations were you involved in as a student? I was involved in many organizations. Spartan Marching Band, Hoover Hall Student Government, Alpha Phi Sorority, New Student Orientation, Alpha Phi Omega Co-Ed Service Fraternity, Recreation Student Association, and served on the Associated Students Board of Directors for three years.

Which SJSU professor/staff had the greatest impact on you and why? Gregory Wolcott or "Coach" had the greatest impact on me. He was my supervisor for the New Student Orientation Program and my Associated Students Advisor. He took the time to help me reach my greatest potential as a student leader. The lessons I learned from him I still use to this day when managing teams in the workplace.

What influenced your success in getting a job after college? Participating in extracurricular activities during my time at SJSU provided me the knowledge and resume to land a job right after college. I was able to develop life long skills through my involvement that assisted me in being a great candidate for my company at the time.

Advice to current SJSU students: Be fearless! Try a new hobby, join a student organization, take time to travel to foreign destinations, and run for a leadership position. I have had success in my career by not being afraid to try new things which continually develops my skills in my personal and professional life.
