Hoover-Langdon ScholarshipIn 1954, the SJSU Alumni Association established the Hoover-Langdon Scholarship Endowment, a merger of the Lou Henry Hoover Fund and the William Langdon Fund. The income generated by the endowment now funds an annual scholarship, currently in the amount of $1,250. Each year, this scholarship is awarded to a deserving SJSU student who has excelled both academically and through community service. The SJSU Financial Aid Office selects the Hoover-Langdon Scholarship recipient. Since 1978, each SJSU Golden Grad 50th reunion class has made a contribution to help build the endowment, enabling the Alumni Association to steadily increase the dollar value of the scholarship.
