This year's Commencement will be held Saturday morning May 26, 2012, at Spartan Stadium. The ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. and should be completed by 11:30 a.m. We sincerely hope that you plan to attend.

Following the University Commencement, we invite you and your family/friends to join us from 12:00-1:00pm for light refreshments at the departmental reception to be held in Washington Square Hall in room 004 and the adjoining amphitheater in WSQ 109. Between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. we will begin a formal ceremony in which the faculty, in full academic regalia, will present signed certificates to each graduate.

Each graduating student attending is free and able to purchase additional tickets for guests at $10 each from the department office in Clark Hall 469. Checks should be made payable to “Anthropology Donations” and returned with theRSVP form(PDF) to the department. You may either mail the form and check to the department (Department of Anthropology, San Jose State University, One Washington Square, San Jose, CA 95192-0113) or drop it off at the department office. Each student may invite up to 4 guests. If you need more tickets please contact the Department of Anthropology staff about making special accommodations.

Please respond no later than Friday, May 4 ^th, 2012 so that a signed certificate can be prepared for you.
