Anthropology Major Planner

Students walking on tree-lined walkway

You may need only two courses to cover the American Institutions area (F1, F2, & F3), and to count for Core GE. Several courses (Anth 11 & Anth 12) fulfill major and Core GE requirements, but the units count only once toward the 120 units required for graduation. You may count only one Advanced GE course for major credit, although you may take other anthropology Advanced GE courses and count them toward the major. Please remember that this planner is only a guide and only a few major courses can be offered each semester. You should take the major courses you want when they are available, especially in your junior and senior years. Note that the semester units do not add up to 120 units since some classes may count toward GE and major/minor requirements, although a minor is not required for the degree.
