The Department of Art & Art History is committed to providing our students with the tools and experience needed to successfully pursue a career in the arts.

Undergraduate

As one of the largest schools at San José State University, we offer a wide range of Bachelor's of Fine Arts programs including Digital Media Art, Photography, Pictorial Art, and Spatial Art.

The Department also offers Bachelor's of Arts programs in Art History, Photography, Pictorial Art, Spatial Art, and Preparation for Teaching.

Graduate

Our Graduate school offers Master's of Fine Art programs in Digital Media Art, Photography, Pictorial Art, and Spatial Art; and Master's of Arts program in Art History and Visual Culture.
