An emphasis in East Asian Studies is offered within the Humanities Major B.A. Program, along with emphases in American Studies and European Studies. Courses of study include Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese humanities.

Requirements

Completion of the Humanities Major, with an Emphasis in East Asian Studies, requires 24 units of core courses in Humanities disciplines ( Art History, Foreign Languages, Humanities and Religious Studies ) and 15 units of electives spread over four areas: Literature and Philosophy; The Arts; Geography, History, and Politics; and Culture and Society. A year of foreign language related to the concentration is also required in support of the major.
