EOQA FAQs


Q. Who is eligible to participate?

A. Faculty members that have taught at least one semester length course online can participate.

Q. I am a lecturer. Can I apply?

A. Yes, all faculty members can apply. This includes full time, associate, assistant and adjunct Professors.

Q. What is the time commitment?

A. Submissions are due June 5th, 2014. You will be notified about the status of the proposal by June 6th, 2014. The training will take place during summer and fall for courses to be taught in the academic year 2014-15.

Q. How will I be compensated?

EOQA will finalize contract terms upon selection. The stipend will be disbursed in two parts: $500 after completing the Quality Matters training and completing two peer reviews and $500 after making the suggested updates to their course and meeting with one of the project facilitators. A certificate of completion will be awarded to all participants who meet the requirements of the program.

Q. Do I need to request approval from my department in order to teach?

A. Yes, an approval form signed by the Dean and Department Chair is required.

Q. When can I start teaching?

A. You need to be scheduled to teach online during the 2014-15 academic year.
