EDUCAUSE actively works with colleges and universities, corporations, foundations, government and other nonprofit organizations to help those who lead, manage, or use information technology to shape strategic decisions at every level.
Membership is open to institutions of higher education, corporations serving the higher education information technology market, and any other related associations and organizations.
Course Redesign with Technology
Two of the CSU’s Course Redesign with Technology programs focus on redesigning courses to reduce number of bottleneck (high-enrollment/low-success) courses. This includes Promising Practices and Proven Practices.
EOQA at San Jose State University is a program that offers faculty grants with the focus of enhancing the quality of online courses and deliver innovative and engaging online courses. The mission of EOQA is to:
- Facilitate integrative learning
- Implement innovative technologies
- Foster inclusive excellence
- Enhance collaboration
MERLOT is an international consortium of institutions and systems of higher education, industry partner, professional organizations and individuals devoted to identifying, peer reviewing, organizing and marking available existing online resources in a range of academic disciplines for sue by higher education faculty and students.
MERLOT is a free and open peer reviewed collection of online teaching and learning materials and faculty-developed services contributed and used by an international education community.
The eCampus Video Lab is a room dedicated to provide SJSU faculty and staff the tools needed to record audio/video lectures and screencasts. The eCampus Video Lab includes various equipment such as:
- Dell PC
- Macbook Pro
The room is only available by reservation and users must fill out the request form found on the eCampus Video Lab page.
The Online Learning Readiness Survey is a 10 question survey that will assess your learning habits to determine if an online course is recommended for you.
The Instructional Technology Journals page provides a plethora of sources for peer-reviewed journals in the Instructional Technology field.
The Top 100 Tools for Learning page is put together by Jane Hart from the Centre for Learning & Performance Technologies. Jane conducts an annual survey of top learning tools from over 500 active professionals in education and has been collecting data since 2007.
The list will include the top list of tools, their features, and information regarding their position on the chart has moved up or down since 2007.
