We follow the guidelines set down within Academic Senate Policy S96-11 Fair Use of Copyrighted Materials; Intellectual Property regarding broadcast/satellite recording and tape duplication.

1. We can copy or record tapes for SJSU faculty for use in their classes. We do not copy tapes for students.
2. We cannot copy tapes that are copyrighted without the specific written permission of the copyright holder. This permission must be on the copyright holders letterhead
3. We only copy whole cassettes. We do not cue tapes or edit tapes. Equipment for that purpose is available on the first floor of the Instructional Resource Center at Media Services.
4. We can record broadcasts to be held in our temporary off-air collection according to University and other copyright restrictions.
