Public Service Assistants

Our Public Service Assistants help visitors during the Center's open hours, giving tours of exhibits, demonstrating the historical keyboard instruments, and offering guidance on using the Center's collections.

Richard SoggVolunteer Docents

Volunteer docents are available to give tours and answer questions during the Center's open hours.

Dr.Richard Sogg demonstrates the historical keyboard instruments on Tuesdays from 2:00-2:30 p.m.

 

Tom BaileyAmerican Beethoven Society Staff

Tom Bailey is Membership Secretary of the American Beethoven Society. His interests also include orchids, wines, and golf. Contact Tom if you have questions about membership or visit the society website.

Dr. William B. George volunteers as an indexer for the Beethoven Gateway project. Shirley George is our volunteer bookkeeper.

 

Student Assistants

Megan Groden, a student in the Art Department, is an assistant for the Beethoven Gateway project.

Ryan Bettencourt is a student in the School of Music and Dance and the assistant editor for The Beethoven Journal.

John Horowitz is a student in the School of Music and Dance and is the Center's clerical student assistant.

Other Volunteers

Uwe Wrede is indexing and translating German-language materials for the Beethoven Gateway project.

Fred Saunders is organizing the files of journal articles for the Beethoven Gateway project and assisting with our ongoing inventory projects.

Surekha Shah is cataloging graphic materials for the Beethoven Gateway as a volunteer intern from the School of Library and Information Science.
