November 9-10, 2011. "New Beethoven Research" Conference, sponsored by the Beethoven Center, the American Beethoven Society, the University of Alabama, the University of Illinois, and Wake Forest University. King Library, San Jose State University.

December 17, 2011, 1-5 p.m. Beethoven Birthday Bash. Program at 2 p.m.: Beethoven: The Beginning, a German film about Beethoven's youth and childhood. PLEASE NOTE: This film is in German with English subtitles, so may not be appropriate for younger children.

March 14, 2012. 7:00 p.m. First Wednesdays Lecture Series (please note change in date!). Chamber music with Eric Hoeprich and David Goldblatt. Beethoven's Trio for Clarinet, Violoncello, and Fortepiano, op. 11; Conradin Kreutzer's Trio for Clarinet, Violoncello, and Fortepiano in E-flat Major. Free but seating is limited.

April 20, 2012. Ronald Brautigam, piano. 8:00 p.m. Le Petit Trianon, San Jose. All Beethoven program: "Pathétique" Sonata, op. 13; "Eroica" Variations, op. 35; "Moonlight" Sonata, op. 27, no. 2; "Appassionata" Sonata, op. 57.
