Public Programs

The Beethoven Center sponsors concerts, lectures, and other programs open to the public throughout the year.

In Spring 2010 please join us on Wednesday afternoons for "Clavichord to Fortepiano", a Mini Concert and Presentation Featuring the Historic Keyboard Collection by docent Dr. Richard Sogg. Download the flyer for times and dates.

Annual events include one fall and one spring program as part of the First Wednesdays Lecture Series sponsored by the Special Collections and Friends of the King Library. Another free event is the annual Beethoven Birthday Bash and open house held in the Beethoven Center in mid-December.

In the late winter or early spring, the Center and the American Beethoven Society host the annual Young Pianist's Beethoven Competition.

The Center also collaborates with other organizations and institutions on programs related to Beethoven and his music, including pre-concert lectures for the San José Chamber Music Society.

To learn if an event is scheduled during your visit to the Center, please consult the Event Calendar.
