Every semester BSSE students must see the BSSE Advisor to have their advising holds released. See Releasing Advising Holds for forms and procedures.
Students must apply for graduation a year before their expected graduation date. See Applying for Graduate for the necessary forms and procedures.
If a student's GPA drops below 2.0 he or she is placed on academic probation. The student remains on academic probation until the GPA rises above 2.0. If while on probation the GPA drops below a certain level (see the SJSU Catalog for these levels), then the student is disqualified from the university. Students who receive notifications that they are on probation or are disqualified should immediatly see an advisor in the Engineering Student Success Center.
