
Generally, any compensation increases for which additional funding is expected from the University should not be included in your begin year calculation of Salaries & Wages (S&W). If there is reason to do so, your University Budget Analyst can discuss this with you.
Refer to Compensation Allocation policies and procedures for identification of compensation increases that are covered and those that are not covered centrally by the University. Compensation increases that are funded by the University and are effective any time other than July 1st (and are therefore not funded for the full 12 months of the current budget year) will be funded by the University for a full twelve months the following fiscal year. At that time, your S&W budget will permanently increase.
