A fee deferral protects your classes from enrollment cancellation until registration fees are paid by financial aid or a third party sponsor.

You will be able to see in MySJSU if you have a fee deferral, as it will be so indicated under Financial Aid, in the right margin. Your account indicates a fee deferral is active for the respective term.

If your fees are paid and/or deferred by financial aid or scholarship, your financial aid application must be complete prior to the beginning of the current semester.

A Financial Aid fee deferral is only valid until your financial aid credits your student account or when the Financial Aid & Scholarship Office notifies you that your deferral has expired.

Note: It is your responsibility to pay your own fees if you apply for financial aid after the term has begun.
