What is an eRefund?

Refunds from the university, Financial Aid awards, athletic scholarships and any other money owed to you are sent electronically to your bank rather than mailing a check to you.

Why should I enroll in eRefunds?

• Save $20 refund processing fee
• Be assured you get all your money all the time (including refunds < $20)
• Get your money faster (usually within 1-3 banking days)
• Delivered securely to your desired bank account
• Avoid lost or delayed mailed checks
• Makes sense!

When should I enroll in eRefunds?

Please note that it may take up to 3 business days for the eRefund to be deposited in your designated bank account.

eRefund Exclusions: Plus Loans, Alternative Loans, credit card refunds and eRefund Rejects (an eRefund that has been returned to us by the bank due to an inaccurate entry of the student's account number in MySJSU). Plus Loan checks will be mailed to parents and all other checks will be mailed to the student.

Should a system malfunction occur and an eRefund be sent in error, SJSU reserves the right to retrieve the eRefund from student's designated bank account immediately.
