If you are having problems with your MySJSU account, please contact the CMS Help Desk at 924-1530 or cmshelp@sjsu.edu. Include your full name, SJSU ID and date of birth.


About MySJSU

Students can access MySJSU for access to the information and/or transactions listed below:

  • Pay with an eCheck

  • View Your Financial Aid Information
  • View Your Fees
  • View Your Grades

Your Preferences

We recommend that new students set their preferences in MySJSU as soon as possible and that returning students update their preferences whenever necessary.


Your Personal Information

Manage your name, addresses, phones, internet locations and emergency contacts. To do this:

  1. Sign in to MySJSU
  2. Click on Campus Community
  3. Click on Personal Info


Electronic Refunds

Online refunds can be automatically credited to your bank account. To set-up your bank information and receive Electronic Refunds:

  1. Sign in to MySJSU
  2. Click on Self Service
  3. Click on Student Center
  4. Click on Payment Plans and Account Services
  5. Click on Refunds

Your FERPA

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 helps protect the privacy of student records. For more detailed information, visit US Dept of Education FERPA.

To set up your Designated Authorized Users:

  1. Sign in to MySJSU
  2. Click on Self Service
  3. Click on Student Center
  4. Scroll down to Finances
  5. Click on Payment Plans and Account Services
  6. Click on Student Account Options
  7. Click on Authorized Users


Your 1098T

The Bursar’s Office reports tuition paid by students enrolled at SJSU to the Internal Revenue Service each year. For more detailed information, see Tuition Statement & Tax Credits (1098T). You can request to receive this statement online or through the mail. To do this:

  1. Sign in to MySJSU
  2. Click on Self Service
  3. Click on Student Center
  4. Scroll down to Finances
  5. Click on 1098T Detail Inquiry
