Recent graduates have access to basic services, including SJSU Handshake and online career education, for a year after graduation. Career coaching drop-ins and appointments and career education workshops are available through one month after graduation. Continued access to on-campus recruiting, including career fairs and employer information sessions, requires a current Career Center Alumni Membership.
SJSU students who purchase a cap and gown package at the Spartan Bookstore receive a one-year SJSU Alumni Association membership that includes Career Center Alumni Membership. Activate your career services benefit as described in the following Option 1.
Other SJSU Alumni
SJSU alumni may establish a Career Center Alumni Membership with or without an SJSU Alumni Association membership. Explore the following membership options.
SJSU Students Taking a Semester Off and Other CSU Alumni
Purchase a Career Center General Membership for access to the same benefits as the SJSU Alumni Membership except on-campus recruiting (career fairs, employer information sessions, and on-campus interviews).
Option 1: Membership Combo - SJSU Alumni Assn./Career Center Alumni
Activate the Career Center Alumni Membership benefit of your SJSU Alumni Association membership by subscribing on-line and selecting Alumni Association Members. Be ready to provide your 9-digit SJSU student ID number, alumni membership number, and membership expiration date.
Option 2: Career Center Alumni Membership
To join, subscribe on-line and select General Membership-SJSU Alumni. Be ready to provide your 9-digit SJSU student ID number.

Included in your $25 membership is access to:
- SJSU Handshake, the career services system and job board
- Career Center lab access and basic guidance
- Online career learning through www.sjsu.edu/careercenter
- Resources for launching your career
- On-campus recruiting, including career fairs, employer information sessions, and on-campus interviews.
NOTE: Some events are limited-capacity and require advance registration for which access must be confirmed. Consult SJSU Handshake for details on specific event limitations and registration. Bring a photo ID and proof of your Career Center alumni membership, such as a membership card, Alumni Association card, or email confirming your current membership from the Career Center.

Work 2 Future operates three One-Stop Career Centers in the areas of San Jose, Campbell and South County. Workshops, job listings and career advising programs are available through Work 2 Future One Stops.
