Employers who wish to conduct on-campus interviews with our students may request an interview schedule or interview room in our office on select days throughout the year.
How It Works
On-campus interviews will be held on select dates from March 2 - May 4, 2017. If you have a date that does not fall within this schedule, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you as staffing and space allows. You may request an interview date/schedule or room by logging in to your SpartaJobs (powered by Handshake) account, selecting the 'Request an Interview' button at the top of your Dashboard or 'Interviews' on the menu to the left, and following these steps. Our Employer Sponsors are given priority access to request interview rooms.
Each room includes a white board, round table and two chairs. Rooms are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a $50 deposit per interview day. Your interview request/rooms will not be confirmed until payment is received. Refunds will not be issued.
Typical Interview Day
Interviews take place in the Career Center, located on the second floor of the Administration Building, Room 154/255. A typical interview day begins by checking in at the front desk as early as 8:30 a.m. (please do not arrive prior to 8:30 a.m.). You will then be escorted to your interview room. Interviews will not be scheduled after 4:00 p.m. as the building closes at 4:30 p.m.
Students will be escorted to the interview waiting area once they check-in. You may then call the student in as you are ready to meet with them.
Tips for Success
- Post your positions on SpartaJobs and schedule interviews with qualified candidates.
- Market your positions by attending a career fair and schedule interviews following the fair.
- Host an information session to inform students of your opportunities and schedule interviews following your event.
OCI Best Practice: When you are ready to indicate primary and/or alternate candidates to select interview slots, remember to invite the same number of students as interview slots that are available. This will ensure your interview schedule is full.
