A. Yes, Spartan Staffing can source for interns and refer candidates based on your specific criteria. Employers can choose to keep interns as temporary employees through Spartan Staffing, or they can recruit the candidates as direct-hires.
Q. Will Spartan Staffing handle any required employer paperwork for interns who are receiving academic credit for the experience?
A. Yes, as long as the intern is not a direct-hire, Spartan Staffing will complete all necessary employer paperwork. If a candidate is directly hired by a company as an intern, that company becomes the employer of record and is responsible for working with the student and their academic department to ensure proper documentation is completed for course credit.
Q: Are job seekers charged any fees?
A:No,job seekers are not charged any fees. Spartan Staffing is a fee-for-service option made available and charged to employers.
Q: Can I hire a Spartan Staffing associate directly?
A: Yes, direct-hire fees are based on the associate’s annual salary. We understand that each job and employer is different and that budgets vary. We customize each order to help meet your unique needs.
Q: Does Spartan Staffing offer skill assessments?
A: Yes, Spartan Staffing offers hundreds of skill assessments to measure each candidate’s skill set/aptitude before placing them on an assignment. Please inquire about the various skill-assessments offered.
Q: Can I meet a candidate before they are assigned to my company?
A: Yes, Spartan Staffing will present resumes and set meetings. We have the capability to run any background and screening assessments you require before meeting a candidate.
Q: Can Spartan Staffing help diversify a workforce?
A: Yes, Spartan Staffing is highly trained in diversifying workforces. All job orders placed through Spartan Staffing are marketed to various student and alumni networks. Diversity related clubs, organizations, and departments are also a part of these networks.
Q: What does the Spartan Staffing fee cover?
A: When an associate is assigned to your company, our bill rate includes cost and ownership of employing each Spartan Staffing associate. We assume responsibility for maintaining personnel and payroll records, paying, withholding and transmitting payroll taxes, making unemployment compensation contributions, handling unemployment and workers’ compensation claims involving our assigned associate with respect to the compensation that Spartan Staffing has agreed to pay, and removing any assigned associate at your request, provided there is a valid legal reason.
Q. How does billing work?
A. Typically, we submit weekly invoices. Payment is net due upon receipt.
Q. How much does Spartan Staffing cost?
A. We customize each job order based on your company’s unique hiring needs and volume. Cost is determined by the associate’s pay rate, weekly hours, duration, skill-set, and overhead/burden expenses.
