  1. Register early with SpartaJobs – The SJSU job and internship database. Check it often for on-campus, part-time, full-time, and internship opportunities.    
  2. Ensure your resume is polished, professional, and up-to-date. Learn how to write a resume by reviewing the online resume tools, attend a resume workshop, and drop by the career center during posted hours for a resume critique. Check the calendar for dates and times.
  3. Practice your communication and interviewing skills with Big Interview – An online mock interviewing tool.
  4. Connect with external networking resources to make connections with other job seekers.
  5. Start your job search. In addition to using common job search boards and company web sites, check out the options below.

    • H-1B Visa Jobs and Sponsorship Portal to find advice about applying for H-1B and list of H-1B sponsors.
    • American Chambers of Commerce Abroad to find a directory of American companies and individuals doing business in a particular country, as well as, firms and individuals of that country that operate in the United States.
    • Do an internet search on “Directory of American Companies in ____________”
    • Or search by “Directory of Foreign Companies in ________________”       - fill in the country and start researching.
