Position obtained: Program Management Intern at Intel
"You owe it to yourself to have the best career that you can possibly have. Do a good job at your internship, but also see yourself as an integral part of the team — regardless of your 'intern' title. Don’t just gain experience, but seek for growth and learning along the way."
Tell us about the organization and position.
One of my favorite things about working at Intel is that you’re constantly surrounded
by some of the smartest, talented people in tech. I LOVE working with everyone on
my team because they push and inspire me to sharpen my skills every single day.
As a program management intern, I work with multifaceted teams to ensure the project/program success. Since I work with cross functional teams from multiple locations, I get the awesome opportunity to travel for my internship!
Also, it’s super cool getting to see our CEO, Brian Krzanich, who happens to be an SJSU alum! Go Spartans!
How did you find your position?
I found this opportunity through a recruiter referral. To this day, I can’t thank her enough because she really helped set a large stepping stone into my career.
What tips would you give your fellow Spartans?
You owe it to yourself to have the best career that you can possibly have. Do a good
job at your internship, but also see yourself as an integral part of the team — regardless
of your “intern” title. Don’t just “gain experience”, but seek for growth and learning
along the way.
Also, document your journey. Keeping a daily journal not only helps you reflect on your activities, but it’s also exciting to look back and see how much you have grown professionally.
