Position obtained: Software Engineering Intern with Adobe senior year

"In a very small amount of time I was able to build a prototype search engine and a big data engine which handled a lot of their analytics problems."

Tell us about the organization and position.

I'm a software engineering intern at Adobe. I was put on the GSED helpx engineering team, a development team which manages the Adobe support/learning domain helpx.adobe.com. They came to me with a real world problem, involving a broken search engine and several problems in analytics. In a very small amount of time I was able to build a prototype search engine and a big data engine which handled a lot of their analytics problems.

I also participated in an annual intern competition (IPE) and was chosen as a winner. I competed against from Stanford, Berkeley, and various other big named schools. I was awarded a full time offer from Adobe and my internship was extended.

How did you find your position?

I always wanted to work for Adobe so when I saw a position I applied right away.

What tips would you give your fellow Spartans?

Always be the first one in the office and the last one out. And never underestimate yourself.
