The Faculty Success Program
The Faculty Success Program run by the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD), is an intensive, semester-long “boot-camp” experience with weekly on-line seminars, small group support and accountability, and other structures to teach and support the development of productive writing habits.
Each semester, CARHS supports one faculty member to attend. Here's what CASA's most recent attendee had to say about the experience:
"It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with faculty across the U. S. and see how they manage all of the demands of an academic appointment. We do not really have this across the programs at SJSU and it was very valuable. The program allowed me to understand how to make realistic goals as far as research and grant writing. The program also made me see that writing just 30 minutes each day could be very productive. I completed and submitted 2 journal articles while in the program. The accountability of the weekly group calls was very motivating. Thank you for this fabulous opportunity!"
For tenured/tenure track faculty. A CASA faculty member is enrolled for Fall 2013. Information on applying for Spring 2014 will be forthcoming.
