Students-In-Action
Students In Action (SIA) is a student-run organization geared toward the implementation of community learning at San José State University. SIA is committed to the idea of civic engagement through the mobilization of college students as mentors for undeserved youth in the San José community.
As an organization, SIA strives to provide university students with an opportunity to become positive and socially-conscious role models in the community.
Become a Mentor!
SIA is currently looking for SJSU students to serve as mentors at Burnett Academy Middle School. By volunteering just one afternoon a week (approximately 3 hours) you can make a lasting difference in a young person's life. Please fill out the online application and submit via email it to SIA Mentoring (see contact information below). Training and orientation are provided.
