Hear From MembersMembers were asked to reflect upon the past year in AmeriCorps and create an analogy to describe their experience. My AmeriCorps experience is like... “A
rainbow. Even though I haven’t gotten to the end, I’m
learning about the biggest treasure: satisfaction of what I do to
help other people besides me.” “A sports game. Sometimes you win with people, sometimes
you don’t. But you keep playing because it is rewarding and
fun. You learn a lot about yourself and other people through the process
of training and applying that training to the game itself.” “A
huge family. Everyone is caring, compassionate, & looks out for
others. This has been a rough semester for me, & just by being
involved in AmeriCorps & meeting such wonderful people has truly
helped me.” |
