AmeriCorps Bridging Borders - Now Recruiting

Join AmeriCorps Bridging Borders!

We are now recruiting members to serve for the 2006-2007 program year. Apply today to participate in the interview process that will begin in July 2006. Second interviews will be held with partnering community organizations and public schools over the summer in order to complete Member placements by late August, 2006. AmeriCorps Members will serve between 10-12 hours a week August 25, 2006 through May 31, 2007.

How Do I Apply?

Step One: Review the Program Requirements and download the application. Submit the completed application to the Center for Service-Learning (ADM 103) by the date listed on the application.

Step Two: Within two weeks of submission, a representative from the AmeriCorps Bridging Borders Project will contact you to schedule a screening interview. This will be a group interview with AmeriCorps Bridging Borders staff at the Center for Service-Learning (approximately 1 hour).

Step Three: All candidates for placement are notified through email and phone.

Step Four: As a candidate for placement, you are selected to interview with a community based organization or public school for a specific AmeriCorps service position. The placement interview is an individual interview.

Step Five: If your placement interview is successful, you will be offered a position and asked to make a commitment to participate in the AmeriCorps Bridging Borders Project.

Step Six: If you accept the AmeriCorps challenge, you will attend mandatory Orientation on Friday, August 19th (3-7 PM), Saturday & Sunday, August 20th-21st (8:30-5:00 PM).
