Volunteers teach children dental skills at a health fair

Offers volunteer opportunities in multiple programs. Deliver meals through our Meals On Wheels program, provide groceries and nutritional supplements to clients through our AIDS Services program, teach elementary students the importance of nutrition and physical activity through our TEACH program, encourage high school students to pursue health career through our Speaker's Bureau, or volunteer at our annual events such as the Open Air Health Fair. www.healthtrust.org External link outside SJSU domain, Katie Plante, (408) 961-9899, katiep@healthtrust.org

 

Tuberculosis Prevention Partnership

Educate local communities about TB prevention and treatment. Be trained to deliver 40 minute presentations on TB to community groups, school children, seniors, businesses and other groups.  Knowledge of languages –Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Tagalog, and Spanish is needed but not a requirement.  Two day training, one-year commitment, consider as internship.
