Alex Hesterberg began his Disaster Recovery career while working for Computer Sciences Corporation in 1997. Alex was the technical lead for the Engineering team that developed DuPont's worldwide Disaster Recovery plan & solution - focusing specifically on the Specialty Chemicals and Advanced Fibers Business Units. In 1998, Alex joined the Ritz-Carlton Building System Business Continuity Team as a Program Manager. His teams performed building system test procedures for every Ritz-Carlton worldwide and developed Business Continuity Plans for all Ritz-Carlton Engineering divisions worldwide. In 1999, Marriott Vacation Clubs International (MVCI) commissioned Alex's teams to develop Disaster Recovery testing protocols for all of its locations worldwide.
Alex joined VERITAS Software in 2001 as the Managing Principal and Client Services Manager for its Enterprise Consulting Services division in the West. Since that time, Alex has worked with over two dozen customers identifying Disaster Recovery needs, developing Disaster Recovery strategies and deploying enterprise-wide Disaster Recovery Solutions.
Alex has a degree from Georgetown University in Business, Spanish & Government. He lives in San Francisco and is based out of the VERITAS San Francisco office.
