Nancy Mathews is the Disaster Response Manager for Universal Studios and has been working in emergency management for nine years. Ms. Mathews has her BA from Drake University in Public Administration and Sociology, is a Certified Emergency Manager, and has her Certificate of Fitness from the City of Los Angeles Fire Department for High-Rise Fire Safety. Ms. Mathews is an instructor for the FEMA Professional Development Series of courses, and teaches FEMA’s Community Emergency Response Team program for several community disaster volunteer organizations. Ms. Mathews is also responsible for developing and training the Studio’s eleven Disaster Response Teams, and coordinates the Studio’s Business Recovery Plans.
