I n our continuing effort to provide emergency services professionals with the best possible knowledge base, CDM and The City of San José is sponsoring a two-part Lecture Series during the 2003 Calendar Year. The first series – Essential Knowledge for Emergency Managers – will be offered for February through early June, consisting of ten 2-hour lectures. The second series – Practical Knowledge for Emergency Managers – is planned for Fall 2003, with the last lecture to be held during the first or second week of December. These courses are designed to provide you with emergency management training requirement of the IAEM Certified Emergency Manager program (CEM) and continuing education requirement for CEU’s (Continuing Education Units). Register NowProposed Program In response to the need expressed by emergency managers, CDM has been working on developing a graduate program in Emergency Management. The program proposal is currently being reviewed by the various university committees that have to approve it. It is expected that this program will be offered beginning Fall 2004. This program builds on existing coursework available in San Jose State University's Masters in Public Administration Program.
