RequirementsUniversity RequirementsMinimum of 120 units- Core GE - 39 units
- Advanced GE - 12 units
- American Institutions - 6 units
- A complete major
- 2.0 (C) GPA required to graduate, though 3.0 (B) is the minimum required for our graduate program
- 30 units of residence credit
- At least 40 units in upper division
- No more than 4 units total of special studies and/or directed reading (180 & 184 courses)
Communicative Disorders and Sciences Pre-Professional Program
These courses are prerequisite:
- Biological Science
- Physical Science
- Behavioral Science
- Mathematics
These courses are required to complete the major:
- Speech-language pathology - EDSP 110, 111, 112, 113,
120, 124, 161, 162, and 177 (speech-language practicum)
- Audiology - EDAU 115, 170, 172, and 177 (hearing
testing practicum)
- Special Education - EDSE 102
- Writing requirement - 100W
- A course in child development, taken during the
sophomore year
- Statistics, may be taken during sophmore year
Suggested electives:
- EDSE 112 - Sign language
- Courses in linguistics, and psychology
