Student Organization (NSSLHA)
Undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences are encouraged to become student members of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) via the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA). Membership in NSSLHA enables students to have access to professional, educational, and clinical resources and participate in ASHA and NSSLHA sponsored events. CD&S students are also encouraged to join the SJSU local NSSLHA chapter a member organization of the SJSU student government called Associated Students. The SJSU NSSLHA chapter represents students’ interests, sponsors local speaker seminars, and participates in community service projects and fundraising activities. More information about the SJSU NSSLHA chapter can be obtained via its webpage and at firstname.lastname@example.org.
