Student OrganizationWelcome students, to SJSU NSSLHA, our student support network! SJSUNSSLHA - San Jose State University's chapter of the National Students Speech-Language Hearing Association. Learn about our officers and activities on out website http://nsslhasjsu.com . Membership in our organization will open the world of speech and hearing sciences to you, provide you with professional-level resources and help pave the pathway to certification and membership upon receipt of the masters degree. NSSLHA is a national organization for undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in the study of speech-language pathology and audiology. It is the only organization of its kind recognized by ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association). NSSLHA was founded in 1972 and has over 18,000 members with local chapters at over 200 universities and colleges. SJSU's chapter was founded in 1977. Our members are active in fundraising, community service and organize various educational programs such as guest lecturers, regional and national conferences. Many SJSU NSSLHA members also belong to other local organizations such as CSHA (California Speech-Language-Hearing Association) and local chapter organizations SCCSHA (Santa Clara County Speech & Hearing Association).
