Post Baccalaureate Students

The Post-Baccalaureate Program is for students who meet all of the other admission criteria for the Masters Degree Program, but do not currently have a major in speech pathology/audiology. Our program admits graduates with a variety of backgrounds such as mathematics, engineering, teaching, linguistics, dance, theater and foreign languages.

The requirements for the major and the Master's Program are typically completed in a three year period. Please see the side link for the prerequisites and the course requirements. Most of the courses must be completed at SJSU, while others can be completed prior to admission.

To apply to the program, you will apply to the university as a graduate post-baccalaureate student.  Once you have opened an account with CSU Mentor, enter the essential information.

The following paragraph does not apply to Fall 2008 applicants.

To apply for the Master's Program, the following courses must be completed : EDSP 110, EDSP 111, EDSP 113, EDAU 115 and EDSE 102.  Acceptance to the Post-Baccalaureate Program does not automatically lead to acceptance into the MA program.  Your Master's application will be reviewed in the pool of all applicants for the MA Program for the fall semester.

Complete your application online at www.csumentor.edu.
